Due to a local measles outbreak, if you are experiencing symptoms of measles contact your local health department before going to a medical facility. If the health department is unavailable, please contact your primary care physician or urgent care center before going to a medical facility.
The symptoms of measles are:
-Red, watery eyes (conjunctivitis)
-Tiny white spots on the inner cheeks, gums, and roof of the mouth 2-3 days after symptoms begin
-A rash that is red, raised, blotchy; usually starts on face, spreads to trunk, arms, and legs 3-5 days after symptoms begin
